Monthly community Pantry

The community food pantry is planned for every fourth Thursday of the month from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Franklin Jr. High in Room 148.

In partnership with Vineyard Church, EMBARC hosts a monthly community pantry open to everyone.

Standard food pantries don’t always meet the needs of the refugee and immigrant community as they often focus on non-perishables in boxes or cans. Many of these items are unfamiliar to the refugee and immigrant communities, leaving them both without knowledge of how to cook the items and unable to read the instructions or labels in English.

At EMBARC, our pantry prioritizes culturally relevant food. Not only helping with access for families but also making them feel welcome and giving a "taste of home," as food is deeply connected to Burmese traditions and cultural heritage.

We strive to provide culturally appropriate Asian focused core food items such as:

  • Rice

  • Variety of ramen

  • Fish oil

  • Soy sauce

  • Variety of traditional produce items

This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
