Calling all local employers!

Come visit EMBARC and our partners on Friday, June 24 for our next job fair! The event will take place from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Franklin Cafeteria at 4801 Franklin Ave, Des Moines, IA. 

In April, 54 EMBARC clients from African, Latinx and Burma communities attended the job fair, and we are hoping for an even bigger turnout this time around. We are seeking part-time opportunities starting at $12/hour and full-time opportunities starting at $15/hour. Part-time clients prefer daytime hours during the weekdays, and full-time clients are available first, second and third shifts, also preferably during the weekdays. 

Potential employees are seeking work in fields including entry-level production, service, childcare, and skilled trades. Language proficiencies range from little English to proficient speakers. 

Interpreters will be provided at the event in languages including:

·       Burmese

·       Chin languages

·       Rakhine

·       Karen

·       Karenni

·       Somali

·       Tigrinya

·       Spanish

·       Korean
